laminated glass is the construction of two lites of glass bonded together by an adhesive material--typically Polyvinyl  Butyrol (PVB). This invisible PVB layer is designed to keep the glass integral to the structure upon breakage,  rather than allowing the glass to shatter into otherwise large, sharp,  and dangerous pieces. PVB also dulls the edges of broken shards of glass,  significantly lowering the risk of injury. After undergoing a series of heating and pressing,  the two lites of glass and PVB interlayer become one solid, durable glass construction.

FAQ

1.Q:Will laminated glass splash and injure people after breaking? Is it safe?

   A:Very safe, it won't splash and hurt people. Laminated glass is composed of two or more pieces of glass and a PVB/SGP intermediate film that is high-temperature and high-pressure composite. Even in the event of impact or self explosion, the intermediate film will firmly adhere to all glass fragments, preventing them from splashing and fundamentally eliminating the risk of scratches and punctures. 2.Q:Can laminated glass be used in combination with tempered glass and Low-E glass?  

   A:Okay. Laminated glass has strong adaptability and can be combined with tempered glass, colored glass, Low-E glass, and other materials to produce composite products such as reinforced laminated glass and hollow laminated glass. 3.Q:Will the middle film of laminated glass age and turn yellow?  

   A:No. We use high-quality PVB/SGP film, which has been treated by special process, and has good anti-aging and UV resistance. Under normal sunlight and use, aging, yellowing, and degumming will not occur. Long term use still maintains a transparent texture, and the service life can reach decades.
