Zaha Hadid Architects begins curtain wall installation for OPPO's office headquarters designed in Shenzhen
2026-01-27 08:40:05

The OPPO Shenzhen new headquarters park, designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, has officially entered the stage of exterior curtain wall installation. The launch of this critical engineering milestone marks a breakthrough in the construction process of this technological landmark located in the core development area of the Shenzhen Greater Bay Area. As an integrated office flagship park created by OPPO Group, this project not only meets the spatial needs of the continuous expansion of enterprise employees, but also innovatively achieves the organic integration of office functions and public open spaces, injecting new vitality into the urban texture.

According to project planning data, the total construction area of OPPO's new headquarters park is approximately 185000 square meters, consisting of four interconnected towers forming the core building volume. Two of the towers have flexible office space as their core function, while the other two focus on carrying vertical transportation and supporting service facilities; A 20 story vertical atrium runs through four towers, efficiently optimizing internal traffic flow and creating an open and shared public hub space. It is worth noting that the tower group is arranged in an orderly manner along the direction of Shenzhen Bay, and the lower floors adopt an inward design approach, forming an open and transparent public activity area on the ground floor, achieving natural connection and harmonious coexistence between the building and the surrounding urban environment.

At the spatial design level, the project innovatively sets the service core tube on the outside of the tower, completely breaking free from the traditional core tube's fragmentation and limitations on the internal floor space. This design not only achieves complete transparency of the floor area, ensuring unobstructed and open views of the office space, but also breaks the physical boundaries between different floors through the visual connectivity effect of the vertical atrium. The scientific planning of vertical and horizontal traffic flow lines ensures the smooth flow of personnel throughout the building, without relying on a single central core tube, greatly improving space utilization efficiency.

The design team stated that the layout takes clarity and flexibility of space as the core considerations, which not only meets the needs of various departments to dynamically adjust the layout with the development of the enterprise, but also maintains visual connectivity within the park. The current exterior curtain wall installation project is gradually putting the architectural form, tower layout, and overall spatial planning of the project into reality. A landmark that combines technology and humanistic atmosphere is about to rise in the Shenzhen Greater Bay Area.
