German glass machinery group HEGLA recently announced the completion of its full acquisition of RS technology, with both parties officially signing the acquisition agreement. On HEGLA's side, the signatories were Group CEO Jochen H. Hesselbach and Bernhard Hötger, while RS technology was represented by shareholder and CEO Friedrich Stimpfig.
Upon completion of this acquisition, RS technology will operate under the new entity HEGLA-RS technology, while the production of its glass processing equipment and water treatment systems will continue at the Fürth plant near Nuremberg.
For HEGLA, this acquisition effectively broadens its product portfolio, enabling it to provide customers with high-quality equipment and integrated solutions covering various processes such as flat glass edge grinding, drilling, milling, and curved cutting. The collaboration between the two companies will further facilitate the development of a comprehensive and highly interconnected automation solution system, while RS technology will fully leverage HEGLA's established international sales network.
HEGLA General Manager Jochen H. Hesslack stated that the group is highly looking forward to deepening cooperation with Friedrich and the RS technology team he leads. Friedrich Stimpfig also admitted that this acquisition decision was not made impulsively but after extensive deliberation. In his view, HEGLA not only possesses significant international market influence but also leverages its well-established global network to provide long-term stable spare parts supply and efficient after-sales services for high-quality production equipment, making it an ideal and reliable partner.
